Kacie & Joseph’s Valentin Imperial Maya Wedding & Trash The Dress
This Valentin Imperial Maya wedding came to be when a great love story was born. All of our weddings are like this, right… But they are all unique. And Kacie & Joe made their Valentin Imperial Maya wedding special because THEY are special.
At The WeddingDayStory Family we are blessed every time true love presents itself in front of our lenses, for us to capture, for us to create images that those who feel it can treasure. And this Valentin Imperial Maya wedding touched our hearts.
A Few Summers Relaxing On The Bay
“We met in the summer of 2008 in Ocean City, Maryland. Little did we know, our parents had beach houses in Rehoboth Beach, that were less than a mile apart! Needless to say, for the next 8 years we spent our summers relaxing on the bay!”
Two Less Fish In The Sea
“On July 18th 2014, we took the plunge into home ownership and bought our very own home. Two short months later, we took our final fishing trip of the summer to celebrate our anniversary on September 15th. After not having much luck with the fish, Joe suggested using the “secret bait” located in the tackle box. I thought nothing of it and opened up the tackle box to see a small black box sitting on top. I glanced at Joe, wondering what this present could possibly be. He told me to open the box and see, and I told him to open it for me!
That next moment, we were Two Less Fish In The Sea.”
The Most Magical Day
“We both knew that a ‘traditional’ wedding was never something we envisioned for ourselves, ever since we had started dating about 8 years earlier. After meeting and getting engaged on beaches, we thought there would be no better spot to tie the knot! We absolutely fell in love with VIM during our first vacation in 2013 and knew this was the perfect location for our wedding. Between the gorgeous venue, excellent customer service and dedicated wedding coordinator, we could not have asked for a better wedding day! It was truly the most magical day of our lives and we owe it to VIM and the Wedding Day Story staff.”
A Valentin Imperial Maya Wedding
“When planning any wedding, it is very difficult to try to accommodate everyone’s needs. VIM made it so incredibly easy to accommodate every single one of our guests, including my (almost) 80 year old grandmother. I did not hear one single complaint from any of our 50 wedding guests during the wedding day or during the rest of their stay.We really enjoyed our “surprise” entrance into our reception! It was so fun to run into the location from the secret entrance as our guests were expecting us.”
“We loved doing the “Trash The Dress” photo shoot. The photos look great and it was actually a lot of fun getting in the ocean in a wedding gown! It is very difficult to choose only one favorite picture but I would have to say our “Trash The Dress” photo as we’re laying side by side in the sand with the waves crashing all around us. “
Best Day Ever
“VIM salon stylists were wonderful! The ladies did such a great job with not only my hair and makeup, but all of my bridesmaids and our mothers hair and makeup! Everyone looked beautiful!
We had a “Two Less Fish in the Sea” Cake topper from Etsy. I created most of my wedding decorations myself including the chair bows, centerpieces, favors and reception decorations. The turquoise blue and white paper lanterns hanging from the Christmas lights really created a fun and unique look for our reception!”
“I wore blue beaded barefoot sandals, a new garter set, a borrowed crystal bracelet and an old cross charm. The dress was from Irini’s Originals. The bridesmaids dresses were from David’s Bridal.
The groom’s suit was from Macy’s and his shoes and accessories from Kohls.”
Beach Wedding Tip
“Try not to stress over what may happen with the weather or what will go wrong. Everything will work out perfectly how it is supposed to. Try to relax and enjoy your day! Traveling with all of our wedding décor and supplies was so stressful but we made it to VIM without any issues!”
Kacie & Joe’s Valentin Imperial Maya wedding was a true celebration of love.
In their eyes, we could see that they get it.
That they can’t help but make each other happy.
They just do. It comes natural.
…and that’s just what it’s all about, right?
