Riviera Maya Wedding Photography | Stephanie & Brandon
Stephanie & Brandon chose to become part of the WeddingDayStory Family for their Riviera Maya wedding photography, and we feel honored! We always want to get to know our WeddingDayStory couples, and we love when we get to share a little bit of their story.
Brandon grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis. He is the youngest of three and has an older brother who is 8 years older than him and an older sister who is 11 years older than him. Stephanie grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She is the middle child and only daughter.
Meeting you, meeting me
“We met at a BBQ through mutual friends over six years ago, and have been together ever since!”
“It was our anniversary and Brandon made arrangements to take Stephanie out to a jazz club and dinner. Afterwards, he took her on a walk to Navy Pier (in Chicago), however, it turned out to be closed. After a failed attempt to get into Navy Pier, Brandon ended up guiding Stephanie right outside of Navy Pier along Lake Michigan, where he told her he had a few gifts that he wanted to give her. Stephanie was a collector of Christmas ornaments, so the first gift was an ornament that symbolized their first house (that they had purchased not too long before that). The second gift said the date and “Our Engagement”. When Stephanie looked back at Brandon, he was down on one knee with a ring.”
Choosing a destination wedding & Their favourite part of the day
“We chose a destination wedding because we wanted it to be a more intimate affair with our close family and friends. Since our families are from two different cities, there would be family traveling anyway. It’s very difficult to choose our favorite part of the day because everything in our eyes turned out perfect. The resort and scenery were beautiful and we were surrounded by all of our loved ones. We really enjoyed our reception when we were able to actually celebrate with everyone. In our eyes, everyone was equally important. It truly meant the world to us to have all of our close family and friends with us on our wedding day. We will remember each and every one of our guests who were able to attend the wedding because of this.”
“A memorable moment for Stephanie was when her mother and grandmother came to the bridal suite (before the ceremony) to perform a Chinese ceremony. It meant so much to Stephanie that her grandmother even came to Mexico, and was able to bring the Chinese traditions with her. There was also a Chinese tea ceremony that was performed during the wedding ceremony in which Brandon and Stephanie served tea to their parents and Stephanie’s grandmother in exchange for a red envelope that symbolized the well wishes and support for Stephanie and Brandon as they start their new life together.”
Choosing WeddingDayStory for their Riviera Maya wedding photography
“We loved that WeddingDayStory was very quick to deliver our images. Having the photos online made it a very easy process for ordering prints and completing our package. It also made it easy for us to share with our family and friends.”
Professionals that make the difference
“The Romance Team at Paradisus were wonderful to work with and extremely accommodating. JSAV did a great job playing a variety of genres and decades during our reception (our request). Planner1Events provided all the details that we requested for decor. The flowers were beautiful and the ceremony and reception set-up exceeded expectations.”
Last but not least, what was your favorite image from your Riviera Maya wedding photography?
“Our favorite picture out of our Riviera Maya wedding photography is the one of us on the beach in between two palm trees during the sunset.”
It’s always wonderful to know that a couple had the beautiful wedding they dreamt of, and being able to tell their wedding day story trough gorgeous Riviera Maya wedding photography. Thank you Stephanie & Brandon!
