Michela & Peter’s Destination Wedding Photography In Costa Rica
When you have known your spouse since elementary school… it’s fair to say they are the love of your life. Michela & Peter chose us for their destination wedding photography in Costa Rica, and right away, we became fans of their beach wedding vibe. They grew up in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Both of them went to the same elementary school, “Our Lady of Providence”, AND the same high school, “St. Marguerite d’Youville”. The most important values that their parents taught them were about respect, loyalty and happiness.
“He took me to Belfountain in Forks of the Credit which is a popular area for scenery. We went to check out a water fall then went to sit and relax on a bench by a big pond. After hearing a weird sound in the tree like a bird, I looked over to see if I could see anything, and when I turned back there he was down on one knee asking me to share my life with him as his wife.”
Let’s Go To Costa Rica!
“We have always wanted to do a destination wedding as we are not fans of the traditional thing. We chose Costa Rica because we’ve been there in the past and fell in love. Our favourite part of the day was the ceremony. After seeing how beautifully everything was set up and how perfect the flowers were and just the fact of being with all our guests and them sharing our special day with us meant a lot.”
“Most important people, of course, were the main immediate family members. Mother of the bride, Angela; father of the bride, Mike; brothers of the bride Domenic & Paolo. Mother of the groom, Colleen and sisters of the groom, Marina & Shannon. The wedding party was also very important as they were standing next to us from the very begining. Maid of honor, Amisha; brides man, Brandon. Best man, Matthew and grooms man, Matthew. Over all, everyone who attended were important to us and we appreciated their attendance.”
The Favorite Moments
“My father walking me down the isle. The wedding party standing next to us through the very begining. My maid of honor helping to lace up my dress.”
…And The Most Memorable Ones
“A memorable moment was when we were doing our photo & video session and baby turtles were being realesed so we got to take pictures and videos with them.”
“The brand of the dress was a ‘Sophia Tolli‘, our wedding invitations were a replica of the canadian passport. The cake had orchids on it. Our colour theme was purple. We brought our own paper parasols to protect guests from the sun during the ceremony. As well as paper fans were placed on each guests chair. I also had hand made foot jewelry instead of wearing shoes on the beach. The invitations were designed by us but printed by a friend. Veil and head piece were from David’s Bridal shop. The maid of honor’s dress was from JJ’sHouse. The groom’s suit was from Le Chateau.”
With Their Help
“The videographer was excellent. He was so passionate about his job and he really wanted to get the best moments captured. Renova spa was amazing as well. Herson did an outstanding job and I was very impressed. My hair came out way better than I expected as well as my makeup. A big thank you to him for making me look so beautiful and doing such an amazing job! Our wedding planner was Juan Jose. Floral was through the hotel Riu Guanacaste and they came out amazing. Food was provided by the Ocotal Steak House located in the resort.”
Music For Your Heart
“Entrance for wedding party was Over the rainbow by Israel Iz Kamakawiwo-ole. Brides entrance song was Canon in D – Pachelbel, the walking out song after ceremony was Is this love – Bob Marley”
Destination Wedding Photography In Costa Rica
“Wedding Day Story did an excellent job taking our pictures. Our photographer Lola was very professional and fun at the same time. The idea of having an online private link was cool, it made it easy for our guests to view. The option of ordering more photos or canvases was good but a little too pricey.”
Long Distance Planning For The “Best Experience Ever”
“The long distance through email was one of the biggest pet peeves. One of my main concerns was how the set up was going to look, it’s different seeing pictures than actually seeing your own setup! After seeing a few weddings happen prior to ours, I was relieved to know that they did a great job at everything from flowers to decor.”
An Advice For Future WeddingDayStory Couples
“Give yourself lots of time in advance to plan it and don’t stress over the little things. And dont forget to ENJOY YOUR VACATION.”
