This Valentin Imperial Maya wedding was a true celebration of love. This family was so very close to one another!

We enjoy capturing our client’s happiest moments, every single time… but when a family shows so much care and warmness, our jobs gets twice as easy… and that much more rewarding, too!

Hi, There!

“I grew up in Southern New Jersey in an upper-middle class suburb. My childhood was really wonderful and I was bless with parents who taught me the value of hard work and the importance of family values. Jeff and I met in 2001 on a construction site that we were developing.

He was a sub-contractor for my fathers construction company and he was doing an installation when I first met him.”

Our Magic Kingdom

“After going through a messy divorce from his ex-wife we purchased our first home jointly and raised our four sons together. Our “blended family” was never an issue for either of us. Our love for each other was always enough for us to overcome the typical teenage obstacles.

During a family vacation to Disney in 2009 Jeff proposed to me in front of the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. Our children were there with us and it was truly a magical time for all of us!”

The Perfect Wedding

“This was a second wedding for both of us and with our youngest son being 20 years old we decided VIM was the perfect spot! We wanted to do something totally different and our priority was spending time with the people who meant the most to us. Our wedding day exceeded any expectations either of us could have had! The weather was perfect, our family and friends were perfect, the food was perfect, the DJ was perfect, the photographer was perfect and the video was perfect too!

Honestly, there is not one single thing I would have wished for that was provided for us. It was absolutely PERFECT in every possible way!”

Just Everyone

“It was really special for my mother in law and my parents to be there. My best childhood friend was there with her husband and that really meant a lot to me as well. We had 37 guests and each and every person that attended was special to us in one way or another.

If I had to mention the names of the people who mattered most to me, I’d have to list everyone of them!”

Wonderful Women

“My sister was my maid of honor. She regretfully broke her foot two weeks before my Valentin Imperial Maya wedding…! So, the day before the ceremony, I asked my best childhood friend, Michelle McBride, if she would mind stepping in for her to help.

As usual, my friend did not let me down. She stepped up in a BIG way and catered to my every need. Her willingness to help me that day came without hesitation and was completely heartfelt.

She’s a very special person in my life and I am very lucky to have such a wonderful lifelong friend.”

A Love Sign

“During our entire stay it did not rain one time. In August of 2015 we lost my father in law in his battle with cancer. It was a horrible blow for us and we had never considered him not attending our wedding in May 2016. At our reception, during the blessing, it rained (drizzled) for less than a minute! It started and it stopped almost immediately but everyone in attendance SWORE this was a sign from my father in law. We believe he was letting us know that he was there with us and those drops for his tears of job. I’ll never forget that and as I retell the story I can’t help but cry thinking about it. That was really special for us.”

A Valentin Imperial Maya Wedding

“Our wedding coordinator knew that we were working with a budget and when I eliminated the pyrotechnics from the reception she knew it was a disappointment for us. During our reception she surprised us with those pyrotechnics! She told us that was her gift to us. That’s just one example of the generosity of the staff at the Valentin Imperial Maya.”

A WeddingDayStory Photographer

“Our Valentin Imperial Maya wedding photographer from the WeddingDayStory Family was exceptional! She was so wonderful with my guests and she was the one who suggested a “trash the dress” photo session on the beach. Initially I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it or not but looking at those photos made me realize these were THE BEST photos from my wedding. Being able to take photos IN THE OCEAN was absolutely priceless and whenever I show anyone my Valentin Imperial Maya wedding photo album their reaction to those photos is priceless.

I recently ordered canvases for myself and my family and I had a very hard time choosing my favorite photo!

The photo of my husband and I where he’s sitting in the ocean and I’m sitting between his legs with my head resting on his chest. It’s one of my favorites!”

Non-Stop Music

“Our DJ was amazing. He incorporated some of his own playlist into the music that we had provided and kept our dance floor going non-stop during the entire reception.

My sister danced with a cast on her foot! The music was truly awesome and he was so much fun to work with as well.”

For Awesome Destination Weddings

“Follow the lead of your wedding coordinator. At the VIM they made it really easy for us. Hire a travel agent to coordinate all of the travel arrangements for your guests. The only obstacle was with my wedding favors. I made elaborate favors that included monogrammed beach towels and beach bags. I realized I needed to give those out in advance to avoid the hassle of trying to ship those in advance and possibly having customs delay that shipment.

It was a tiny hurdle and one that we overcame relatively easily by shipping those via Fed-Ex to our guest the week before the wedding.”

The Details

“I wore my mothers diamond necklace on my Valentin Imperial Maya wedding, but other than that,  nothing traditional like that was done. We had a specific song that we danced to – Meghan Trainor ‘I’m gonna Love you like I’m gonna lose you’.

The decorations were provided by our Valentin Imperial Maya wedding coordinator.

We purchased the invitations and the groom’s suit and shoes from an online source. The wedding gown, shoes, the maid of honor’s dress were from David’s Bridal in New Jersey. The best man purchased his suit at Macy’s in NJ.”

Love always wins, grows, gives hope. Kimberly & Jeffrey’s love story is a beautiful example of it. Thank you for having us on your Valentin Imperial Maya wedding!
