Nicole & Keith’s Valentin Imperial Maya Destination Wedding
Sometimes love has to overcome difficult situations to thrive, the good thing is that it always finds the way. Then, you end up getting married in paradise, in a beautiful Valentin Imperial Maya destination wedding. Nicole & Keith’s love made it. You can see how much it means to them in the many details they have as proof of their love.
Family Comes First
“Keith’s childhood was very family orientated. He was always close to his older sister and two brothers, as his parents served in the Canadian Air Force, they travelled all around Canada and the USA. The most important values his parents taught him was that family comes first and to always be happy and enjoy life to the fullest. Nicole’s childhood consisted of being outdoors and playing with friends and two older brothers. The most important values her parents taught her was to always be the best she could in whatever she did and how to be independent.”
“Keith and Nicole met while working for the same company. They started with the company at the same time so they were able to learn together.”
Happy New Year
“Nicole had been expecting a proposal in October 2014, while on a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands. Keith knew Nicole was expecting this and he decided to wait until she was least expecting a proposal. On January 1st, 2015 Nicole had been outside shovelling the freshly fallen snow when Keith had called her to come inside. Nicole was slightly frustrated because she wanted Keith to come help her outside, but she went inside. When she walked into the house there were rose petals scattered on the floor and Keith standing in the middle of the room. In shock, Nicole stepped towards Keith as he got down on one knee. He expressed his love for her and she said YES!!!”
Passion Of Traveling
“We chose a destination wedding because it had always been a dream of Nicole, to be married by on a beach, next to the Caribbean Ocean. Also, ever since Keith and Nicole started dating they have shared the passion of traveling. Playa Del Carmen was the first destination they traveled to together. The favorite part of our day was walking down the sandy aisle and reading our personally written vows to each other.”
They Mean The World
“We had a small wedding group of 11 people. Everyone who was there was very important to us. The most important people were Keith’s brother, Glenn and Nicole’s mother, Helen. Having the support of both Glenn and Helen was extremely important to both of us. Keith and Glenn being brothers and best friends their whole lives meant everything to Keith to have Glenn stand next to him on our wedding day. Helen and Nicole have always had a very strong mother/daughter bond and having Helen walk Nicole down the aisle meant the world to both of them.”
Special, Unique Details
“Our sand ceremony was very special to us as we both had to over come obstacles and hurdles to be where we were that day. The symbolism of the ceremony really gave us a sense of unity and triumph. The exchanging of rings was also memorable because Nicole’s ring was a struggle to get on, due to the humidity. Keith’s ring and Nicole’s earrings were extremely important details. We had Keith’s ring custom-made with diamonds from his mothers wedding ring. Nicole’s earrings were also custom-made using the center diamonds from his eldest brothers wedding ring and his mothers wedding ring. Keith’s father and eldest brother have passed and his mother was unable to attend due to health reasons. The diamonds are not only a family heirloom, but also the representation of having his mother, father and brother present in spirit.”
“We thought the online viewing gallery was excellent and we are more than impressed with the wedding book that was included in our package. There are so many amazing pictures we honestly cannot pick just one.”
Amazing. Beautiful. Dream Come True.
“Everyone at Valentin Imperial Maya were fantastic. We did not have very many concerns while planning the wedding. Our wedding coordinator, Leslie, was absolutely fantastic. She was constantly answering all questions and concerns via email. When we arrived we gave Leslie all of our wedding props (cake topper, toasting flutes, sand decanter) and she took care of everything. The only fear we had was the weather, but it was a beautiful day! The advice we would give is to relax, breathe and just enjoy every second of the wedding day.”
For Your Valentin Imperial Maya Destination Wedding
“We brought quite a few things for out guests. Everyone was given a custom-made beach bag that had our names and wedding date. Inside the bag there was sunscreen, weekend itinerary, little bottles of sand, custom decorated insulated mugs, hot sauce, custom “Do Not Disturb” door hangers, Advil, Peptobismol, and an excursion for the group. We brought custom engraved Swarovski crystal toasting flutes and we had our Waterford sand Ceremony decanter engraved as well.. with our names and wedding date. Something blue, Nicole had our wedding date embroidered into her wedding dress in blue thread. Something new was a Swarovski crystal bracelet. Something borrowed was a gold chain from Nicole’s passed Oma, she had wrapped in her bouquet.”
Take Our Hearts To The Limit
“Our most special song was Black Eyed Peas – ‘Meet Me Half way’. We chose this song because when we had first started dating we had ‘taken our hearts to the limit’ couldn’t go any further in our relationship due to unfortunate circumstances. Also the song ‘Can’t Stop Falling’ – Laurell was important to them because it always seems that Keith and Nicole constantly find different ways to fall in love with each other.”
Thank you so much Nicole & Keith for sharing your heart winning story and your Valentin Imperial Maya destination wedding with us. We wish all the best and hope that your love continues to grow and inspire other couples!
