Destination Wedding Photography In Riviera Maya | Louise & Sal
Louise & Sal are an adorable couple. They are all about their families and friends, so they chose to have a destination wedding Riviera Maya so that they could share this very special time with their closest loved ones. We were in charge of their destination wedding photography Riviera Maya, and we fell in love with their energy and story.
Sal is from an Italian immigrant family, he is one of four children and first generation US born. He was taught that family is the most important thing, you stick together no matter what happens. Louise emigrated from England as a young girl. Her parents taught her to be independent and to work hard. They also taught her to balance her work and play. Always make time for fun.
Sal and Louise met through a mutual friend. ‘We jokingly call him the “proud papa” as his match was a perfect fit’.
Sal and Louise wanted a stress-free wedding experience full of good food, sun and time with friends and family.
“A destination wedding cuts out the many times stressful situations of planning a wedding at home and allowed us to truly enjoy the moment. Our favorite part of the day was the ceremony on the beach. Toes in the sand surrounded by some of our closest friends and family.”
Love is magical
“It had rained for 4 days straight and the sun came out just hours before the ceremony and a beautiful rainbow appeared. The rain started again during the reception and rained for another 4 days after. I feel like my mom brought the sunshine so we could get married on the beach.”
“My blue shoes and his funky socks! The socks and ties for the men and the dresses for the girls. Something very special, the pin on my bouquet was from a dear friend in memory of my late mother who passed away in 2006. It had a locket with her photo, an angel, and an English sixpence (we’re English), and a good luck charm. We brought from home the brushes for your feet and chalk sign for the beach to brush off your feet, welcome bags, custom hand painted maracas I made for the reception. “
“Valentin Imperial Maya did an exceptional job with every detail. It was a dream come true. We were dancing all night at the reception! Our wedding song was At Last – Etta James, and we’d were both so lucky to finally find our true love–at last.”
Beach wedding tips in Destination wedding photography Riviera Maya
“I really didn’t have any anxieties because all of the vendors were so responsive via email leading up to the wedding and in person once we arrived. Enjoy the process, you can do as much or as little as you’d like. It really depends on your individual personality. Send photos and have a good dialogue with your wedding planner. Also, make sure the hair and makeup person is to your liking. Not all resorts have good options. I had my make up done by my talented niece, Melissa.”

“I liked having the quick online access to the photos and the ability to ask for certain crops. Liliana (our Post Wedding Day Specialist) was so very helpful.”
We are extremely happy that you had such a wonderful wedding day, we wish you a life of love, peace and joy!
